The Maxi Cosi Pebble Plus is an I-Size compliant infant seat that offers a “stay open” and single button release harness, an easy Click & Go stroller installation and added protection with the Baby Hugg inlay.
Suitable from birth until approximately 1-year old or up to 75cm in length (whichever your child reaches first). The 3-point safety harness has a single button release and a "stay open" mechanism that makes getting your child in and out, very easy. Safety harness and headrest adjustments allow for your growing little one to easily be accommodated and comfortable.
The seat unit is soft and plush and the extra padded inlay gives extra comfort to a smaller child. The Baby Hugg Inlay provides extra protection, is fully reversible and provides a splash of color.
On either side of the car seat grey buttons are found that will release the seat with one click from the adaptors. These release buttons has a memory and they do not need to be pushed in simultaneously. Only one hand is also needed to take the Pebble Plus from a stroller chassis – ideal for busy parents.
The seat material of the Pebble Plus is easily removable and machine washable; no need to remove the harness before washing.

“Although they might look very similar, the Maxi-Cosi Pebble and Pebble Plus are actually very different infant carriers.
The Pebble Plus is the first infant carrier to meet the i-Size R129 regulation when used with the 2wayfix base. Whereas the Pebble complies to the older R44/04 regulation.
To comply with the more stringent regulation, the Pebble Plus has been completely redesigned from the inside and out to offer optimum support for babies from birth. The Pebble Plus includes advanced impact-absorbing material and offers newborn babies a better fit and lying position with its innovative, removable Baby Hugg inlay.
Both seats are suitable from birth up to approximately 12 months. However, where the Pebble is suitable for a child up until they are 13kgs in weight, the Pebble Plus can be used for a child up until they are 75cms in length.
So, despite similarities in appearance, the Pebble Plus offers advanced safety and is now Maxi-Cosi's safest infant carrier protecting your little one from day one.”
The Pebble Plus infant seat is an i-Size approved car seat. I-Size is a new EU safety regulation for child car seats, the ECE R129. I-Size was introduced in 2013 to make child car seats easier to fit, offer better side protection and keep children longer in a rearward-facing position. I-Size only applies to Isofix car seats.
Because i-Size includes side impact testing and not only frontal and rear collision crash testing like the ECE R44-04, the Pebble Pro was tested in a forward, side, rear and roll over testing.
I-Size regulations take in consideration both the length and height of your child as opposed to the ECE R44-04 regulations which use weight to determine which seat will fit a child.
Hidden within the rubber covering around the seat there is an integrated sun canopy. We love that the canopy can be totally hidden when not in use and that the plastic loops to attach it to the handle are more secure ane prevents the canopy from easily slipping off.
There are two ways in which you can install the Pebble Plus; using the 2WayFix Base or a 3 point seat belt in a car.
The Maxi-Cosi 2WayFix Base adheres to stringent regulations of i-Size safety and is installed via Isofix points in a car. Light and sound confirmation ensures for correct installation within a car. Top tether straps have been replaced by a loadleg.
Maxi-Cosi has introduced a new and improved intuitive belt system, whereby the car seat belts will not hold a position if installed incorrectly.
A Click & Go installation, along with an ISOFIX base, allows you to simply snap the Pebble Plus into position reducing the risk of an incorrect installation. The Maxi-Cosi ISOFIX base can also be used with a toddler car seat for longer rear-facing travel. Travelling in a rear-facing position for 4 years is recommended by experts.

The German automobile organisation ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club), regularly tests Maxi-Cosi car seats on dynamic safety and ease of use.
