Rental Contract

Thank you for renting with us.

You will receive an invoice with applicable shipping costs from us as soon as we have processed your rental contract.

How do I know when my item(s) is booked?

  • Once we receive proof of payment, your rental item(s) will be reserved.
  • Item(s) can only leave our shop premises once the amount has reflected into our bank account.
  • Urgent or short-notice rental orders require an immediate payment to be secured once invoice and email confirmation is provided.
  • Unpaid rental contracts and invoices are not valid bookings. Without payment, we will not reserve any item(s) or book couriers.

Did you know? All of our rental item(s) are deep cleaned, and each item goes through its own quality and security inspection.

We make use of an external courier company called MK TRANS Couriers that offer a personalised service by meeting clients at CPT International Airport.

 

Take note:

 

MK TRANS couriers:

 

  • Only offer their service between 8am - 7pm from Mondays - Sundays.
  • Do not deliver before 8am.
  • Do not deliver after 7pm.
  • Do not deliver on South African Public Holidays.

Delivery and Collection Rules with MK TRANS Couriers:

 

Meeting location: Pick up area (groundfloor) at Parkade 1.

 

 

Meeting time rules:

 

 If you do not meet couriers at previously agreed upon time, they will need to leave after 15 minutes and do a second trip to reattempt to deliver and/or collect rental item(s) based on what suits their pre-planned schedule.

 

This will result in a double delivery/collection fee that will be deducted accordingly from your rental security deposit.

In the event of an emergency:

 

Whatever happens, do NOT leave your rental item(s) with CPT Airport Security. This will result in extra costs for documentation to release items via SAPS.

 

Please do this instead:

 

1) Leave your rental item(s) with BLUU Car Rentals Reception Area

(Unit BG12 Central Car Rental Building)

 

2) Ensure front desk provides you with a pen and paper and add the following information to it:

3) Notify MK TRANS Couriers via whatsapp

 

4) Notify The Mom and Baby House via email

 

Failure to do the above will result in additional charges that will be deducted accordinlgy from your refundable security deposit.

 

In the event of item(s) lost or damaged due to negligence, your deposit(s) will be forfeited in its entirety.

Please note that we require 24 - 48 hour notice to arrange with couriers for delivery and/or collection once payment has reflected into our account.

We do not offer delivery for any FURNITURE items.

Please note that we make use of external courier companies only. They are not affiliated with us in any manner.


Therefore:

 

  1. Drivers do not call or whatsapp upon delivery.
  2. The Courier Guy or Inter Town Transport couriers do not deliver at a specific time.
  3. MK TRANS couriers will only deliver during a specific time frame if suitable time frame has been provided by the client 48 hours in advance and has been confirmed by The Mom and Baby House on email.

Please note a R200 paypal levy fee is applicable in order to refund your deposit back into your account and to cover additional fees.
